World Elite Heads to Saraburi to Explore Buddhism and Practice Vipassana for Inner Peace and Spiritual Wisdom
Saraburi province is one of the routes in the Thailand Meaningful Wellness - a new chapter of the wellness journey by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). It will have the opportunity to welcome World Elite from the Martial Arts and Hollywood industries traveling from America and Europe to practice meditation and Vipassana. They will receive guidance from Ajarn Achara Wongsakol, the president of the School of Life Foundation and the Knowing Buddha Foundation, at the Techo Vipassana Center, which is offering a special foreign language course from January 7 to 14, 2024.

Among the global elites are Dr. Robert Goldman, president of The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Grand Master Silvio Simac, a Hollywood actor, model, and writer, Christina Estrade, a former famous model, Great Grand Master Ernie Reyes Sr., Grand Master Samuel Kwok, legendary martial arts masters, Grand Master Cynthia Rothrock, who has appeared in over 60 films, Grand Master Neil Farber, Grand Master Mark Gerry, Simon Kook, an actor and martial artist, Mark Wexler, a film producer, and Ciro Orsini, a celebrity restaurant owner, along with 50 other medical business professionals participating in the practice.

All participants are interested in advanced meditation or Vipassana practice and wish to study the principles that lead to the truth about life and find peace in a way different from worldly paths. Thus, they decided to travel across continents to Thailand, the land of Buddhism and a center for advanced meditation practice. This meditation retreat differs from the beginner meditation practices popular in the West, as it involves serious practice according to the Vipassana method based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. Practitioners must abandon their comfortable lifestyles to engage in self-training to reach the truth at the subconscious level, requiring continuous practice for 8 days and 7 nights, focusing on Vipassana techniques taught by Ajarn Achara Wongsakol, a Thai Vipassana master recognized on the global stage at the Longevity World Congress organized by The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), where Ajarn Achara was invited to give a special lecture to over 3,000 leading doctors on the topic "Heal At The Core" in Las Vegas, USA, on December 14, 2023.

During the event, Ajarn Achara explained the nature of the mind discovered by the Buddha, to reveal scientific knowledge that has been obscured due to the inability to develop refined tools to test the actual existence of the mind. This has led to ineffective treatments for various diseases, including mental health issues like depression, which often stem from root causes that result in self-destructive behaviors.
Ajarn Achara's lecture, which explained the mind in a cause-and-effect manner consistent with quantum physics principles, sparked thoughts about the mind being viewed as a mysterious subject, bringing it into the realm of scientific reasoning. This encouraged reflections on the effects of karma linked to various diseases, leading many VIP foreign individuals and numerous doctors to feel confident and eager to practice with Ajarn Achara. The Techo Vipassana training has transformed the perspectives of thousands of practitioners, proving the principles taught by the Buddha. This has inspired elites to willingly abandon their luxurious and comfortable lives to engage in mental training.

At the Techo Vipassana Center, which has no air conditioning, all participants sleep in mosquito nets, eat vegetarian meals, and practice like all Thai students, meditating for 9 hours a day. The remaining time is spent walking meditation, listening to Dharma talks, and resting. There are no fees for the training, which is organized by the School of Life Foundation. It is quite rare to gather a group of VIPs, including those from Hollywood and renowned doctors, to practice advanced Vipassana together, with 50 participants in total. This event helps elevate Thailand's image as a world-class Wellness Destination and emphasizes its significance as a land of Buddhism, attracting celebrities from various fields.
